Robert “Bob” W. Mahoskey
HARRISVILLE – Robert “Bob” Wallace Mahoskey passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010 with his wife by his side.
He was born July 13, 1922 in Tacoma, Washington to Frank O. and Helen Mahoskey. He graduated from Lincoln High School, and enlisted and served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Bob married Janet Ecola May 3, 1952 in Tacoma and together they had five children. Bob was so proud of his children and their accomplishments. He was also the very proud “grandpa” to 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
He loved gardening, fishing with the “boys” and his love of bowling rubbed off on his children and grandchildren. Bob and Janet’s first date was to watch him bowl in a tournament.
Bob and Janet traveled together to almost every State, most of Canada and many foreign countries, Australia being their favorite.
He is survived by his wife Janet of 58 years, two sons and two daughters, Neal James (deceased); Robert Michael (Judy); Gloria Jean (Dennis) Martinez; Charles Richard (Lynn); Nancy Lee (Lew) Hansen; 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Preceding Bob in death were his parents, brothers, Orville and Don, son, Neal and granddaughter, Brandy Mann.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 18 at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, 140 No. Tyler Avenue.
