Robert L. Mills

July 14, 1941 ~ July 30, 2016

Robert Lee “Bob” Mills passed away peacefully on July 30, 2016 after a short illness.  He fought the good fight.

Bob was born on July 14, 1941 in Mountain View, MO.  He was the 11th child of Elizabeth Williams and Bernard Mills.  The family relocated to Utah and he was educated in Weber County Schools.

At 17 he joined the Marine Corps.  He served honorably from 1959 to 1963.  He went to work at Hill Air Force Base where he kept the planes in the air during the Vietnam War.  He retired after 33 years of service.

Bob married Reneé Graham and she passed away in 1994.  He was a kind man who would give you the shirt off his back.  He could fix anything or loved trying to figure it out.

He met his soul mate on a blind date.   He married Mary Busby on December 14, 1996.  Together they lived, loved, and laughed for 20 years. He was a Christian and a member of Elim Lutheran Church.

He was a special kind of grandpa.  He never missed at ballgame, track meet, or dance recital.  They adored him and he loved them to the moon and back.

Bob is survived by his wife, Mary; her children, Joni (Mark) Williams, Jeff (Shannon) Busby, and Greg (Kim) Busby; Reneé’s children, Robert (Brenda) Graham, Roger (Tina) Graham, and Kathy Elwood; brother, Loyd Mills; and sisters, Lila Johanson and Mary (LaMond) Frost.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August, 4, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
