Robert (Bob) Morgan

April 23, 1932 – April 23, 2015

Bob as he was known by most was an extraordinary, amazing, special man. To many of us he was our hero. The day we all dreaded and hoped would never come arrived. We had to say goodbye to this very special man. He passed away on his 83 birthday.

Everyone he met loved him instantly. He genuinely cared about everyone he met. To his family he was their idol. Bob loved unconditionally and without judgment, always there for you no matter what or when. He was a true example of what a person should strive to be.

Bob was always excited to see his grandkids and great grandkids and to hear what they have been up to, even something as simple as finding a job after being unemployed. To some of us he stepped up to be the father figure we didn’t have. He was the gentlest man always teaching us new things and loving us. He always had time for you whether it was to play a game, toss a ball or if you just needed an ear and advice. There are just not enough words to describe how truly amazing he was.

While we are all sad and thinking about the things he will not be here for, we are also thankful and thinking about all the wonderful years we did have him. He has been ill for quite some time and now he can rest peacefully and pain free. We can all feel comfort in knowing he will be watching over all of us and cheering us on as he always did!! We will see him again one day.

We love you so much and will miss you incredibly!!!

He is survived by his wife Bonnie, his sister Pearl, his brother Bill, his 4 children Doug, Bobby (Denise), Kathy and Michael, 7 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., where Militray Honors will be accorded.
