Robert Peaslee
After 84 years of life well lived, Robert Clarence Peaslee was taken from us by cancer. The world is a lesser place without his warmth and kindness.
He lived most of his life in Clearfield, Utah, but also spent years in Japan, Vietnam, and the Philippines. While in the Navy, he travelled across Europe, the Middle East, and the Pacific, including Bikini Atoll during atomic bomb testing. He worked many decades as a civil servant at Hill Air Force Base, and then spent much of his “retirement” with his friends at Utah Auto Auction.
He was a lifelong fisherman and true dog lover. He knew how to have fun with kids and how to fix any car. Over the years, he kept horses, practiced photography, and tied many a fly. He was a dedicated father, grandfather, brother, and spouse. He was a good-hearted, wonderful man.
He is survived by Marla, his wife of 48 years, sons David and Kevin, daughter Lyn (Cautrell), brothers LeRoy, George, and Don, and five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by son Michael, parents Stella and Roy, brother Ernest, and first wife Margaret.
