Robert Avan Probasco (Robbie)
Robert Avan Probasco (Robbie) passed away February 8, 2018, at home in Layton, Utah. Robbie was born to Avan W. Probasco and Dorsie M. Probasco on September 14, 1965. He was the youngest of the family. After graduation from Layton High School he went to Maintenance School at Davis Tech.
Robbie worked at Fram and later he spent many years working at Utah Stamping until they closed their doors.
Robbie married Brenda Chestnut. They had two sons Nathan and Cody. They were later divorced.
Friday nights were very special to Robbie and his boys going to Peter Pipers. They spent a lot of time fishing until he started having brain tumors. After four surgeries he still went fishing with his brother Everett. The last years of his life he lived at Washington Terrace rest home. He spent time painting pictures, bird houses and playing Bingo. He wore out a lot of computers. Before all his surgeries he was very shy. After the first brain operation you could not shut Robbie up.
Robbie was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mom Dorsie, step-mom Tirzah, sons, Nathan, Cody, two brothers, Everett, Kevin, his sister Peggy, ex-wife Brenda (Tye) Dawson, special friends, Kelly, Sue, Megan, Morgan and their families.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
In lieu of flowers spend your money on a meal for your family at Golden Corral in Layton. Robbie died very lonely so he always wanted people to enjoy being together to have a few good laughs.
