Robert C. Richins
Kaysville a" Robert Clyde Richins, 73, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 1, 2010.
He was born April 1, 1937 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Talbert C. and Naomi Waldron Richins. He attended Weber County Schools graduating from Weber High School and later the University of Utah.
He married his eternal sweetheart Lois East on September 4, 1958 in the Salt Lake Temple. They resided in Colorado, Wisconsin, and California before settling in Kaysville, Utah in 1970.
Together, Bob and Lois enjoyed spending time with their family and friends traveling, boating and off-roading in Moab. He was an active member of the church and found joy in serving his family, friends and neighbors. He loved his work and the relationships he developed with others. He enjoyed working outdoors and was never without a project or something to do.
He was successful in many entrepreneurial endeavors including BJ Plumbing Supply which he founded in 1992 with his sons. He was a jack- of-all trades and a skilled craftsman in fine carpentry, boat building, and automobile restoration.
He is survived by his wife, Lois, of 52 years; two sons and one daughter: Jeffrey (Amy) Richins, Kaysville; Michelle (John) Winger, Alpine; Bradley (Angee) Richins, Lehi; his sister JoAnn Lythgoe, and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Don, and sister Colleen.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville 10th Ward Crestwood Chapel, 1039 E. Crestwood Road. Friends may visit family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
