– Robert (Bob) Scanlan passed away quietly in his sleep on Thursday, December 27, 2007.
He was born November 28, 1939 in LaHarpe, Illinois to G. F. and Helen M. Scanlan.
Bob served in the US Navy from November 1958 to April 1966 as a First Class Shipfitter.
On December 31, 1962, Bob married Velma Perry. They are God-parents to five wonderful adults and God-grandparents to their children, Casey (Jodi) Shradley, Dillen, Wyatt and Steton; Shane (Jane) Shradley, Sage, Jade, Ben, Blue, Brad, Brian; Wendy (Lonnie) Shoemaker, Shawn, Amber, Zhani; Holley (John) Schwitzer, Jim (Heather), Jessica, Stephanie, Serria; Lisa Shradley.
Very dear friends too many to name but you all know who you are. We love you all.
His parents preceded him in death. He is survived by a sister and a brother.
Bob loved snowmobiling, ATV riding, the cabin and mountains. He water skied, camped and went gold mining and wanted to do more of that.
Memorial services will be held Monday, December 31st at 11 a.m. at the Hooper 1st Ward Chapel, 4675 West 5500 South.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. There will be no viewing as he is being cremated.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff for the care that Bob was given at Ogden Regional Hospital and the techs from Bonneville Dialysis for their treatments, too. Also,
the nurses at West Bountiful Dialysis (DaVita) for their help in training us to do portable home dialysis.
