Robert G. Terry
OGDEN – Robert G. Terry, 92, passed away February 8, 2013 at George E. Wahlen Veteran’s Home. He was born October 5, 1920 to Robert Gerald and Kathlyn Nyland Terry in Salt Lake City. He was raised in Salt Lake and went to Salt Lake schools.
Robert married Betty Gamber in 1946 in Evanston, Wyoming. Betty passed away in 1996.
Robert was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Robert enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and golfing. He served in the military and worked for the U.S. Government for over 40 years. After retirement he spent most of his time at Ernie’s golf course. He was an avid golfer.
Robert is survived by his children, Michael (Mary) Terry, Linda (Stephen) Sorenson, Jean (Curtis) Keyes, Kenneth (Teresa) Terry, Lee (Enola) Terry, and Bill (Janice) Terry; 19 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; son, Steven Terry and parents.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
