Beloved father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. Bob loved to fish and couldn''t wait for deer hunting season, but his "passion" was professional race car driver. He enjoyed seeing that checkered flag, especially when he was the "winner". Bob received his final checkered flag on November 9, 2011 after winning his best "race" of all and has now gone to join his wife and his "Father in Heaven". (Victory Lane)
Born July 26, 1925 in Salt Lake City Utah, he was the son of Matthew McBlaine and Lola Schwartz Thomson. He joined the Navy and served his country during World War II. During this service from July 1943 to April 1946, he was awarded six bronze stars and one Victory Medal.
