Robert Green

Robert Wayne Green, 68, died December 3, 2017 at his home in Layton, Utah.

He was the son of Delmas and Kay Green.  Bob graduated from Davis High School and Weber State College.  He was proud of his pioneer heritage and enjoyed writing family history.

Bob married Mary Lee Logsdon on August 18, 1983 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ogden, Utah.

Bob was a licensed general contractor and he built many homes in Davis County, especially Layton, Kaysville and the Syracuse areas. He served on the East Layton City Planning Commission for many years.  He also served on the Layton City Planning Commission.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son and friends.  It was a rare year when we did not have elk and venison in our freezer for winter meat.  Mountain Man Rendezvous culture was a big part of his life. He was a cheese connoisseur, enjoyed donuts after Mass and he loved Louis L’Amour books.

Bob is survived by wife Mary Lee, children: Maryl Kay, Patrick, Jeffrey and Monica, six grandchildren, whom he dearly loved, siblings, Barbara Bennett, Edward Green, Arlene Nalder.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 Chapel Street, Layton, Utah.  Friends may visit family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
