OGDEN a€" Our beloved son, husband, father, brother and grandfather, Rob, returned home to our loving Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 4, 2009 while camping with his family at Echo Reservoir suffering from a sudden heart attack.

Rob was born on November 7, 1954 in Renton, Washington to Joseph Alvin and Helen Ruth Johnson Wilcoxen.

He graduated from Hazen High school in 1972. He then attended Everet Junior College before earning a football scholarship to play at Weber State University. While attending Weber State he met his sweetheart and love of his life, Dianna Ray. Rob and Diana were married in the Ogden LDS Temple on May 13, 1977.

Rob went on to attend Mortuary Science school in Cypress, California obtaining his Mortuary Science degree in addition to earning the Rosalind R. Ragsdale award for outstanding leadership and best restorative art. For thirty years Rob worked as a funeral director in the Ogden and Salt Lake areas. He served on the Utah Funeral Directors association and was president from 1995 to 1996. He dearly loved his profession and was honored to serve families in their time of need.

Rob the "athlete" did it all. Particularly football, baseball, and golf. He received All Americans status in both football and baseball. He also loved going water skiing and snow skiing with his family. He was an avid sports fan of the Boston Red Sox and Nebraska Corn Huskers.

Throughout the years he enjoyed coaching his children in various sports. For nine years he coached the Ogden High Girls Soccer Team where in 2002 he led them to a State Championship.

Rob was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which he served in two bishoprics, Stake and Ward Young Men Presidencies and home teacher.

Rob''s greatest legacy are his children and grandchildren whom he dearly loved as he was anxiously awaiting the birth of two new grandbabies and upcoming marriage of his youngest son.

Rob is survived by his loving wife of Ogden; three sons and one daughter, Shaun (Amanda), South Ogden; Ryan , Ogden; Chad, Ogden (fiancAC., Jamie Moss), Shanna (Robert) Edwards, Bountiful; one grandson, Luke Wilcoxen, and a granddaughter, Avery Wilcoxen , South Ogden; two more grandchildren on the way; two brothers, Timothy and Stanley , two sisters, Jolene and Patricia.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Ogden 33rd Ward Chapel, 33rd and Jackson.

Family and friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at the church house.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
