Robert Lee Winn

Robert L. Winn "Whitey" age 70, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022 peacefully in his home surrounded by family.

Robert was born on May 28, 1952 in Ogden, Utah to Bobby L. Winn and Patricia Garr. Robert graduated from Bonneville High School Class of 1970.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era in the 82nd Airborne as a medic. Robert received the National Defense Service Medal along with his Parachute and Sharpshooter badge.

Robert loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, gardening and sports. You could always find Robert in his garden or on a mountain top. Sports was one of his true loves, he was especially passionate about golf and Oklahoma Sooners Football.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby L. Winn and Patricia Garr and his nephew, Nicky Santoro. 

Robert is survived by his wife, Leesa Winn; sisters, Jodie Winn and Chris Winn; children, Brieana (Hayden) Wadsworth, Trevor (Chrystal Scott) Winn, JaLena Olson, Alysha (Douglas Bowen) Watson, Heather (Colt) Robert; nephews, BobbyJo (Haley) Winn and Bryon Winn, niece, Haliegh Youngburg as well as 13 grandchildren and many great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Harmony Healthcare and Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Robert, especially Nancy, whose loving care, kindness and compassion gave comfort to us all.

Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday October 29, 2022 at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, Ogden, Utah. Followed by a Celebration of Life from 6 - 8 pm at the Winn residence, 5812 South 4050 West, Roy, Utah.
