OGDEN a€" Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend Robert Angus Wright, 70, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Robert was born on July 29, 1942 in Ogden, Utah, to Robert Taylor and Margaret Francis Gwilliam Wright.

Robert married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Kay VanMeeteren on September 2, 1960 in Salt Lake City. They spent 51 wonderful years together.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Robert worked at Defense Depot of Ogden retiring after 34 years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors spending time hunting, fishing, and camping and was an avid gardener. He was a skilled handyman. Robert was a proud member of the Weber County Search and Rescue for over 40 years including serving as a past State Commander.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Kay, Ogden; sons, Scott A. (MariAnn Stoddard), Ogden; and Timothy T., St. George; daughters, Kristie K. (Larry) Bitton, Henderson, NV; Pamela K. (Greg) Seegmiller, Roy; and Amy L., Ogden; 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Charles Angus and Margaret McElroy Wright and Henry C. and Arvella West Gwilliam.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be given to the charity of your choice.
