Roberta Kay Young

October 9, 1939 ~ January 2, 2021

Roberta is the daughter of Martha E. Anderson Lindsay and Lynn Young, both Mormon pioneers. She died from complications due to Covid in California.

She was known as Birdie by her siblings, Regina Burgess, Ronald, and David Lindsay.

She never married but she loved animals, mostly cats and dogs. She took in a lot of strays and considered them her children. She will be missed by her remaining sibling, Ronald Lindsay. We are grateful for her sister-in-law, Kree Lindsay, who has shown many kindnesses and wisdom over the years and to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint Relief Society and Bishop in Santa Maria, California that she was a member of, for going above the call of duty in her care.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
