Robert (Bob) John Darling

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Robert John Darling, passed away on July 17, 2017. He was born on October 6, 1943 in Little Chute, Wisconsin to Jean and Willis Darling. He was married to Virginia Martinez on August 17, 1966 in Layton, Utah. Bob and Virginia spent 51 years together.

Bob served in the US Air Force as a lineman during the Vietnam War. He was employed at Hill Air Force Base for 28 years as an aircraft mechanic and avionics technician, he retired in 1998.

Bob loved restoring old cars, spending time at his cabin with family, cheering on the Green Bay Packers and having coffee every morning with his friends and sons.

He is survived by his wife Virginia and their children, Joe (Nicole), Tonya (Jason), and Randy (Nacy); grandchildren, Haylie, Jordan, Jacob and Alex; and sisters, Dorothy, Ellen and Donna.

Graveside services will be held Friday, July 21, 2017 at 11:00 am at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, where military honors will be accorded.
