Robert (Bob) Elwood Stimpson
On August 26, 2015, our beloved husband, father and grandfather Robert (Bob) Elwood Stimpson returned to his Father in Heaven. Bob was born on September 16, 1933 in Ogden, Utah.
Bob is a Korean War Veteran, serving in the Navy from 1952 to 1956 when he met Carolyn Anderson, who caused him to lose a $5 dollar bet by turning down his request for a date. Being the dedicated and charming man he was, Bob eventually won her heart and they wed on July 27, 1956. Bob and Carolyn shared nearly 60 years of marriage and had six children.
Bob owned and operated a successful trucking business, enjoyed farming, reading, and spending time with his family.
He was a faithful member of the LDS Church and lived a life based on integrity, honesty, and hard work. He was a great example to those around him and will be greatly missed and loved always.
Bob is preceded in death by his father and mother, Elwood (Woody) and Roma V. Stimpson, his brother Garth and his daughter Christine. Bob is survived by his wife Carolyn, children: Diana (Rocky) Ulibarri, Tracey (Jace) Simonsen, Robert D. (Tracie) Stimpson, Tonya (Dave) Lundberg, and Charity (Sonny) Gutierrez, 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two younger brothers Gordon, Ron and their families.
