Rodney L. George

Rodney L. George EDEN – Rodney LaMar George, 62, died Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. He was born July 2, 1947 in Logan, Utah, a son of LaMar Henry and Betty Johnstun George. Rod married Connie Eldredge on September 26, 1970 on top of Willard Peak. He graduated from Bonneville High School in 1965 and later from Weber State with BS Degrees in Police Science and Psychology. Rod served his country with the U.S. Army as a helicopter gunner through five major campaigns during the Vietnam War. He worked as a police officer for 20 years retiring from the Riverdale Police Department. He also worked as an Adult Probation and Parole Officer where his parolies loved him. Rod loved to golf, ride his motorcycle and was a member of the Mt. Ogden 4 Wheelers Club. He also enjoyed traveling, plays, musicals, giving great hugs and “chick flicks”, but most of all he enjoyed life with his soulmate, his wife, his one and only true love. Surviving are his wife, Connie, of Eden; two sons, Skip (Annette) George, Brigham City; Christopher George, Ogden; stepdaughter, Misa Anderson, Mamaroneck, New York; and 14 grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Rhonda George, Buffalo, NY. Preceding Rod in death were his parents, uncle, Kay D. George, and granddaughter, Sasha Anderson. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Monday 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Send condolences to the family at: www.lindquistmortuary.com
