Rodney Neal Gore, a beloved husband, and respected member of the community, passed away on March 13, 2025, in Clearfield, Utah. Born in Ogden, Utah, on March 27, 1964, to Roscoe Blaine Gore and Margaret May Evans. Rodney lived a life marked by devotion to his family and a commitment to his work at the Freeport Center.
He grew up in Sunset, attended Clearfield High School then moved to Miguel, NV and was a proud graduate of White Pine High School in Nevada. He attended Weber State College where he studied computer science. He embodied the spirit of perseverance and determination throughout his life. He built a successful career that not only showcased his skills but also allowed him to foster meaningful relationships with his colleagues. He worked for Futura, Pro Pac Labs, Kellog’s, and Lifetime.
Rodney served in the U.S. Navy from 1983 to 1986.
He loved watching TV, especially Star Trek, Big Bang Theory, Yellowstone, and old black and white shows; movies, mainly Sci-fi; drives and traveling with his wife; watching the stars through his telescope; going for walks with the dog; swimming; and listening to Ted Talks and educational things.
Rodney is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly Deanna Gore, Roy; his daughter, Darcy (Tyler) Nusbaum, McKinney, TX; step-daughter, Misty Fields, Clinton; mother-in-law, Debbie Ruhl; and siblings, Sheila Bocanegra, Ogden; Pamela (Russell) Cuff, West Valley; Bonnie (Mark) Rogers, Roy; nieces and nephews, Dallys (Dominique Cortez) Eggett, Midvale; David Turner, Holladay; Shea Marie (Randy) Beasterfield, West Valley; great-niece, Lillith Beasterfield, West Valley and step-nephew, Dylan Petersen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe Blaine Gore and Margaret May Evans, one brother, Blaine Slemp and one sister, Vickie Gallegos. Rodney's legacy is not only defined by his professional achievements but also by the deep and enduring bonds he formed with those around him.
As we remember Rodney, we celebrate his life, his kindness, and his unwavering dedication to his family and his work. He will be profoundly missed, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the Prairie Crossing Ward, 3939 West 4000 South, West Haven.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans of Utah.
