Our loving husband, father, son, brother and grandpa, Rodney Glen "Bomboc" Jensen, 55, passed away peacefully, Monday, March 9, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born February 9, 1954 in Ogden, Utah to Darrel Frank and Elizabeth Dorrene Thompson Jensen.

He served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

On January 6, 1973, Rod married Kevan LaVan Crawley in Kanesville, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple.

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served for many years as the Family History Specialist.

Rod worked as a restaurant manager for JB''s and retired in 1994 from Hill Air Force Base as an Inventory Management Specialist.

He loved to travel and to be in the outdoors. He enjoyed genealogy, his HAM radio, classic cars (especially his ''51 Packard), Mickey Mouse and most importantly his grandkids.

Rod is survived by his wife, Kevan; two sons, Jared Anthony (Diana) Jensen, Rodney Evan (Sandy) Jensen; a daughter, Jennifer Lynn (Scott) Buckway; eight grandchildren, Justice, Devin, Holden, Kadin, Addison, Aspen, Paige and Sierra; his mother, Dorrene; three brothers, Larry (Joyce) Jensen, Del (Jeanie) Jensen, Tony Jensen; and two sisters, Sherry Ricketts and Teena Jensen.

He was preceded in death by his father, father-in-law, Evan Crawley, and three brothers-in-law, Lynn Crawley, Mark Crawley and Larry Ricketts.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 14th at 11:00 a.m. at the Roy 28th Ward Chapel, 3345 West 5200 South, with Bishop Kirk Douglass, officiating.

Friends and family may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Ward house.

Interment, Elwood City Cemetery.

The family extends a special thanks to Hospice nurses, Sandy, Robin and Asillin and Dr. Wood, Dr. Amann, IMC Heart Failure team, Dr. Diehl, Dr. Iskos and Dr. Busch.
