Rodney Grant Julander
Rodney Grant Julander, son, brother, uncle, and friend; was taken to his heavenly home at the young age of 27 on Monday, July 3, 2017. Rodney was born on October 27th, 1989 in Layton, UT to Randy and Shelly Julander. He graduated from Northridge High School in 2008 where he was a member of the swim team. He received multiple letters in that sport and shared his love of swimming with his nieces and nephews. Shortly after graduating high school, he joined the United States Air Force and served 2 tours in Korea and received multiple honors before his illness took him.
Rodney was an avid outdoorsman. He had a passion for snowmobiling and would have gone every day if he could; he also enjoyed snowboarding during the winter months. The summer months found him hunting, fishing, swimming and dreaming about snowmobiling. He worked as a camp counselor for three summers at Camp Loll in northwest Wyoming. He had a love of life that was contagious and could always be counted on to have fun, be the fun and find fun in every situation. He will be remembered as a skillful prankster and master of the sneak attack wet willy.
Rodney will be missed terribly by friends and family. His absence has already been noticed and will forever be felt in our hearts. Rodney is survived by many, including his parents Randy and Shelly; his brother Rollan (Charity) Julander; his sisters, Jenn (Dan) Tate, Lindsay (Ryan) Hammer and Karen (Ross) Haynes; his nieces and nephews Madison, Carter, McKinley, Abigail, Julianna and Ryker. He is also survived by countless friends and family.
