Rodney Scott Larkin
May 25, 1956 ~ August 5, 2015
Our loving father, best friend and partner, Rodney “Hot Rod” Scott Larkin, 59, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at his home in Willard, Utah.
He was born on May 25, 1956 in Brigham City, Utah to Gerald Larkin and Sue Fluman. He was raised in Willard, Utah.
On August 9, 1980, he married Holly Hadley in Reno, Nevada. They were together for 35 years.
Rod went to college at the Ogden Applied Technology College. He graduated with a degree in drafting. Rod worked at Parsons Service Center for many years, he later worked at GSL as a heavy equipment operator, then Gibbons and Reed as a Hot Plant Foreman for 13 years. He also worked as a mechanic, where he loved working on and restoring cars. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, hunting and riding dirt bikes, but most of all he loved being with family and friends.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
We have deeply enjoyed being a part of Rod's life and we will miss his loving ways and his fun personality. We will never forget the many great times we got to share with him. But we know his mother Sue has greeted him with open arms and Rod will keep guiding and helping his family and friends during their life.
Rod is survived by his children, Cody Larkin, Perry; Ashley Larkin, Pleasant View; and Saydie Deroboam, Willard; one grandson, Caysen Larkin; brothers, Dale Larkin, and Kent Larkin, and sisters, Judy Larkin, Janet Larkin, and Kay Nebeker. He was preceded in death by his parents.
