Rodney Glen Montgomery was born July 6, 1969 to Earl and Ranae Montgomery in Ogden, Utah. Rodney passed away Sunday, August 5, 2007 from lingering injuries sustained in a fall.

Rodney married Christine Thorpe, they had a daughter Jessica Lynn Montgomery. They were later divorced. Rodney then married Lisa Hoppe and joyfully brought into his family Haylie Hoppe and Weston Mumford.

Rodney worked at Hill Air Force Base in various positions, most recently in the Canopy Repair and Composite Area. Rodney had a great love of radio controlled airplanes. He was an exceptional artist making large scale fighter aircraft such as F-16, F-4s and FA-18 hornets.

Rodney is survived by his parents, daughter Jessica, step-daughter Haylie and step-son Weston, brother Jeffery (Donna) Montgomery, sister Sheri (Chuck) McPhee, grandmother Lorna Boam, nieces and nephews, Lynzie, Daniel, McKinlei and Cortlin.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lisa and grandparents Peter Boam and Arvil and Wanda Montgomery.

Graveside services will be held Monday, August 13, 2007 at 12 noon at Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd. Friends and family may call Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
