MARRIOTT-SLATERVILLE a€" Rodney Joeldon Price, loving father, son, brother, uncle and grandpa, passed away at his home with his daughter at his side on Thursday morning, December 10, 2009.

Rodney was born August 22, 1955 in Montpelier, Idaho, to Eldon and Verna Price. Later he moved to Ogden where he graduated from Ben Lomond High School.

Following graduation from high school, he began working at Hill Air Force Base where he worked for 31 years until he retired in 2007. He was also a Naval Reservist for almost 10 years until he was honorably discharged in April of 1995. He had been employed at GSL for the past two years.

While working at HAFB, Rodney followed his passion of the cowboy life by becoming a rodeo clown and an accomplished team roper. While raising his two children, Candice and Cody, he passed on his love of hunting, camping, snowmobiling, the outdoors, rodeo life, and a good Chris LeDoux c.d.

Rodney leaves behind his children, Candice Price and her daughter, Anastasia; Cody (Krista) Price and their two daughters, Mckaybree and Kaydance; his adoring mother, Verna J. Price; two sisters, Joeline (Rex) Fowers and their two children, Daniel and Julie and families; Julie Sandberg and her three children, John, Jennifer, and Jesse; his stepdaughter, Angelee (Jason) Sexton and their children, Jonas and Savannah; and his stepson, Kristopher Simmons, who all will miss him more than he will ever know. His love of children was unmatched and will live on forever in all whom he helped.

Rodney was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Price, and both sets of grandparents.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends may call at the mortuary on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, South Morgan Cemetery.
