Roger William Fowler

Roger William Fowler, 86, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018. He was born on March 4, 1932, the son of Thomas Merl and Grace Roberts Fowler. Born in Henefer, UT, but spent the majority of his life in Clearfield, UT.
He married Marie Pearce in Salt Lake City on January 26, 1956.
Roger was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully as a Home Teacher and Youth Advisor.
He worked for Union Pacific Railroad from 1950 to 1996 as an Engineer and Brakeman. Roger originally worked on Steam Locomotives, then Diesel, and then Electric.
He had a great interest in outdoor activities; enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.
Roger is survived by his wife, Marie Pearce Fowler of Clearfield; sons, R. Scott (Vicki) Fowler of Benicia, CA; David W. (Patricia) Fowler of Kaysville; and Loren J. (Cheryl) Fowler of Vancouver, WA; daughter, Karen (Blain) Sherman of Washington Terrace; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Yvonne Kenley.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Henefer Cemetery.
