Roger Dale Gardner

August 23, 1949 — June 5, 2024

On Wednesday June 5, 2024, Roger Dale Gardner passed away peacefully at the age of

74. Born on August 23, 1949, in Brigham City, Utah, to Dale Lloyd and Joanne Harper

Gardner. He was raised in Cache Valley where he graduated from Logan High School. He also graduated from Weber State College.

 

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served as a missionary in the Eastern States Mission. Upon returning home he married his high school sweetheart Francis “Deeann” Jones in the Logan Utah Temple. They had seven children together.

 

He spent much of his working career in the tire industry, owning and operating his own Tire Shop in Logan, Utah.

 

Roger loved his family and the gospel of Jesus Christ. He spent many hours serving in various callings. His testimony of God’s plan and eternal families guide him through his life. Roger also enjoyed being in the outdoors, some of his fondest memories were hunting and fishing trips with family and friends.

 

Roger is survived by his children, Shaundee (Dave Vogeler), Devin (Shauna), Lindsay, Dirk (Trudy), Tyson, and daughter-in-law Cherie; as well as 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; and siblings, Randy (Diane), Durr (Jolynn), Geri (Daniel), and Jenny.   He was preceded in death by his wife, Francis Deeann; sons, Corey and Trevor; his parents, Dale and Joanne; and his sisters, Chris and Annette.

 

Graveside service will be held Friday, June 14, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Providence City Cemetery.
