Roger Alan Haven

January 21, 1948 ~ May 10, 2017

Roger Alan Haven, 69, passed away on May 10, 2017 in Huntsville, Utah.  He was born in Sanitaria Springs, New York, on January 21, 1948, son of George Arthur Haven and Miriam Rhodes.   He was the youngest of nine children.

Roger loved people and they loved him.  He enjoyed making new friends of strangers.  His sense of humor and teasing nature was contagious.  He enjoyed fishing in any stream or lake with his dog, Jake.  Roger and Gundi enjoyed yard sailing and shopping in antique stores.  They enjoyed road trips together in search of new treasures.

Roger served honorably during the Vietnam War with the United States Air Force. He was employed for many years at Skywest Airlines as an airline mechanic.  In his later years, he purchased a taxi company where even more strangers became his friends.

Roger is survived by his longtime partner and sweetheart, Gundi McClarin; 5, Troy Haven, Travis (Mindy) Haven, Dawn (Matt) Green, Megan (Daniel) Edwards, and Josh Haven; 5 stepchildren,  Richard (Jane) Erekson, Brian Erekson, Sarah (Adam) Willardsen, Amy (Justin) Marcus, and Robert (Candice) Erekson; 31 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters.
