Roland L. Hamblin

KAYSVILLE – Roland L. Hamblin, 72, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2009. He was born November 20, 1936 in Clearfield, Utah, the son of Elton and Edna Higley Hamblin. Dad enjoyed the outdoors, loved camping, hunting, and splitting wood and loved the many fishing trips with family. He could fix anything and had a wonderful vegetable garden. He was a member of the LDS Church and was generous to all. Dad especially enjoyed his time with his grandkids. Survived by his daughter Debbie Stephens of Layton, son Rocky (Cathie) of Kaysville; grandchildren Brandi, Kristin, Rocky Jr., Danika and great-granddaughter Jessi. Also survived by siblings: Neldon Hamblin (Bonnie), Carl Hamblin (Joyce), JoeAnne Pitkin (Terry), and Susan Nye (Gary). Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Syracuse City Cemetery, 1290 South 1000 West. Friends and family may call Wednesday, August 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services.
