On the 5th of April 2019 Ron passed away unexpectedly. Ron was born May 23, 1953 in Alamosa, Co; to John and Lucille Garcia. Ron graduated from Layton High School Class of 1971, and then joined the U.S. Army. While in the Army he married his wife Jo Arguello on August 12, 1972 in Clearfield, Utah. They lived in Clearfield with their four dogs along with daughter Veronica and her family.
Ron loved deer hunting, bowling, golfing, baseball, Nascar and barbeques with his family. Ron had a second love of his life his 1955 Chevrolet Belair. Ron enjoyed being an amazing caretaker to his mother and cooking her amazing home cooked meals. Ron always remembered everyone’s name that he came into contact with. He loved to go to Wendover with his family.
Ron was in the U.S. Army for four years and the U.S. Air Force Reserves for 20 years. He worked at Lifetime Products for the last 21 years and loved his job very much. Ron loved all the people he worked with and all the people who worked for him. Ron enjoyed being a leader and a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in Germany.
Ron is survived by his wife Jo Garcia, mother Lucille Garcia, his three children, Veronica (Elisario) and their three children and two grandchildren, Juan (Alicia) and their five children, Orlando (Nicole) and their one child, two brothers Dennis (Shirley) and family, Charles (Marsha) and family.
Ron is preceded in death by his first child, father John Garcia, father and mother-in-law, Floyd and Ruie Arguello.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. with a Vigil at 7:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
