Roma Neeley Schultz

Roma Neeley Schultz, 93, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 1, 1921 in Preston, Idaho, a daughter of Ira Leondis and Myrtle Greaves Neeley. She graduated from Preston High School in 1939.

In 1939, Roma married Lorin D. Winger, They moved to Bremerton, Washington where two of their daughters were born. When Lorin was drafted into WWII, Roma and her daughters moved to Preston, Idaho and their third daughter was born. After the War, they moved back to Bremerton where they resided for many years. Roma worked at Bremers Department Store as a buyer. Many years later they move to Soda Springs, Idaho where they built an Arctic Circle. They were only there three years, when they moved to Everett, Washington and they opened another Arctic Circle. Roma and Lorin later divorced.

Roma moved to Ogden to be closer to her daughters. She was employed by Fred M. Nye for 15 years as a buyer. She met and married Bill Schultz. They were married six years when he passed away.

Roma moved to Palm Springs to live by her daughter, Cherilyn. There she worked at the Racquet Shop and Airport gift shop until age 73.

Her daughters are, Sandra Lee McElveen, Judy Kae (Marvin) Skinner, and Cherilyn Dearden. She has 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Roma was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother.

She is loved and will be greatly missed.

Sincere thanks and appreciation to her daughter, Cheri, for her loving care for many years.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
