Roma Andersen Hall Shurtleff
Our loving Mom, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and Friend, Roma Andersen Hall Shurtleff, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 8, 2013. She was born on August 5, 1922 to Levi S. and Millie Reeder Andersen in Brigham City. She was raised in Brigham City.
She married Kenneth J. Hall on August 6, 1941 in the Logan LDS Temple. Kenneth passed away in August of 1970. Roma married William H. Shurtleff on February 6, 1976 in the Ogden LDS Temple. Bill passed away in December of 2011.
Roma was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as the President of the Stake and Ward Relief Society, Primary President and Young Women''s President. She loved serving as a temple worker with Bill in the Ogden LDS Temple.
She served as a board member for the American Heart Association, was a member of DUP, Weber County Mounted Sheriff''s Posse, and most importantly her sewing club.
Roma treasured her grandchildren. She loved to sew and quilt, go ice skating, but most of all to DANCE.
Roma is survived by her sons, Richard (Lili) Hall, Marc (Diane) Hall, Joseph (Patti) Shurtleff, David (Rollane) Shurtleff, and Bill (Janet) Shurtleff; daughters, Kathie (Dennis) Rich, Jan (Jed) Taylor, Mary Lou (Carlos) Heslop, and Jeanie (Lane) Maw; 53 grandchildren and 103 great-grandchildren and brother, Wynn (Evelyn) Andersen.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, brother, Lee Anderson; twin brother, Richard; and sisters, Mildred Hall, Erma Parker, and Ruth Cheney.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
We want to thank all of Roma''s friends and care givers at Peachtree Place. She was so loved there.
Interment, Brigham City Cemetery.
If Roma could say one last thing, it would be a" "I love my children and grandchildren with all my heart".
