 Romanita Maria “Romy” Saulé Gale

 July 8, 1927 ~ January 31, 2017

 

Romanita Maria Saulé Gale, 89, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017.  She was born in Istria, Croatia on July 8, 1927, the daughter of Carlo and Eufemia Coronica Saulé.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a devout visiting teacher.  She worked for the Forest Service as a mail clerk.

Romanita enjoyed gardening and loved to keep an immaculate home and yard.  She loved her neighbors and giving and caring for others.  Romanita was feisty and loved to cook, crochet, knit, and had many other talents; her hands were never idle. She played on a bowling league and enjoyed watching the Utah Jazz.  Her heart belonged to her grandchildren.

Romanita is survived by her children, Mana Gale and Ronald Gale; grandchildren, Jen Stevens and Courtney Gale (Ryan Sauzo); also step-grandchildren,  Josh Allred, Kristen (Matt) Smith, Cassie (Martin) Peña; 13 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Lino Saulé and Gigi Saulé.  She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
