Our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, Ronald Lynn Child, 82, of Brigham City, Utah. returned home to his Heavenly Father peacefully at home surrounded by his family on February 27, 2024. Lynn was born on August 4, 1941, in Ogden, Utah, to Howard and Eloise Child. He was the first of five children. Lynn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He graduated from Clearfield High School and went to Weber State University to become a journeyman plumber.
Lynn married Donna Mae Vansickle on Valentine’s Day and had five children, they later divorced.
He had a good career in the union as a Journeyman plumber. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, and trapping. He loved to be in his shop woodworking or out in his garden, which he took great pride in. He was a delivery driver for Rogers Eggs for years, which he enjoyed a lot. He also devoted his later years in life to taking care of his elderly grandparents, parents, and Donna Mae Child until their return home to Heavenly Father.
Lynn is survived by his son, Ronald (Marlene) Child; daughters, Tamera Rochell and Michelle Rackham; stepdaughter, Jody (Don) Roose; along with 12 grandkids and 30 great-grandkids; and brother, Howard Child. He was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Child; great-grandson, Ethan Child; Donna Mae Child; parents, Howard and Eloise Child; sister, Sue Nielson; and brothers, Leonard Child and Charles Alan Child.
Ronald Lynn Child’s family would like to express their love and appreciation for all the love and support that they have received through this difficult time.
His children would like to thank Atlas Home Health and Hospice for the great care and compassion he received in his final months, especially Misty, Breanna, and Hannah.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 2 p.m..m. at the Roy City Cemetery. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
