Ronald "Ron" William Decker

LAYTON a€" Ronald "Ron" William Decker, age 60, our dear husband, father and brother passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011 at McKay-Dee Hospital.

He was born February 11, 1951 in Sweet Home, Oregon the son of Harold W. and Vivian C. Gren Decker.

He married Sylvia Martinez in 1978, they had three children. They later divorced. He married Robin Smith in the Ogden Temple August 10, 1989 for time and all eternity. They were blessed with four wonderful children.

Ron was a member of the LDS Church Rosewood Ward in Layton and served in various positions.

He is survived by his devoted wife Robin and seven children: William Decker, SLC; Marcey (Tony) Ostrowski, Layton; Daisy (Doug) Johnson, NC; Rachael, Jarrod (Brittany), Claryssa and Virginia, all of Layton; six beautiful grandchildren and one on the way. He is also survived by his two sisters, Carole (Brad) Medico, West Jordan; Vickie (Jack) Radl, Layton; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters, brothers and father-in-law.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
