Ronald Vance Dockstader
October 29, 1961 ~ October 24, 2015
On Saturday, October 24, 2015, after a short struggle with cancer, Ronald Vance Dockstader passed away surrounded by his wife and family.
The youngest of four children, he was born in Ogden, Utah on October 29, 1961, the son of Arlynn Henry and Marjorie Giles Dockstader. Ron spent most of his youth in the Roy and Ogden areas and graduated from Ogden High School.
Ron owned his own internet company for many years and also worked as a computer technician at HAFB.
He had two children from a previous marriage before meeting the love of his life Diane Schuenman, on January 27, 1993. Ron’s special relationship with Diane was one that was emulated by all who knew them. Ron was truly her “Knight in Shining Armor” and she was his princess. He would do anything for her. He was her protector, her confidant, her best friend, her everything.
Ron really enjoyed spending time with his family and loved to cook gourmet meals for them, especially his one-of-a-kind breakfasts. He also enjoyed camping, being the captain of his boat at Bear Lake, killing the intergalactic bad guys on his computer, and Nerf gun fights throughout the house. He also loved four-wheeling and cruising with his girls on his motorcycle. He especially liked playing Madden Football, and flying remote control quads with his boys. He loved to protect his daughters and was always there to guide them through important decisions.
Ron is survived by his wife Diane, son David (Shayley) Dockstader, and daughters Rachelle (Ryan) Rhodes, Megan (Clayton) Jenkins, Tiffany (Keaton) Smart; sisters, Cheryl Sherwood, and Denise Dockstader; sister-in-law Shelley Dockstader, grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother (Robert Dockstader), and niece Angela Hughes.
I love you Handsome Man – love, your Beautiful Girl.
