Ronald Alden Higgs

Ronald Alden Higgs, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 11, 2012 from complications of a lingering illness. He was born on March 21, 1954 in Ogden, Utah, to Alden and Elizabeth Higgs.

Ron was raised in Bountiful and attended Bountiful High. He was a Vietnam War veteran who served in the Air Force. He worked many years in the floor covering industry, in which he owned and operated his own business. Ron married his eternal companion, Alma Zepeda, and was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

Survived by wife, Alma; sons: Aaron (Jenny) Higgs and Brady (Ashley) Henderson; brothers and sisters: Cathleen (David) Garrett, MarJean (Bill) McKay, Janeen Higgs, Creed (Cindy) Higgs, and Mark (Karin) Higgs; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents. The family expresses deep appreciation to the IMC Transplant Team and the Shock Trauma Unit for their tender care.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Layton 37th Ward Chapel, 505 S. 1000 W. Layton, UT. Friends may visit Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary 727 N. 400 E. and from 9:30 a€" 10:30 a.m. Saturday prior to the services at the church.
