Ronald Leroy Morain
CLEARFIELD – Ronald Leroy Morain, 78, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at his home.
He was born on May 15, 1936 in Independence, Kansas the son of Clifford Cannon and Florence Schenck Morain.
Ronald married Jane Davis Redden on April 4, 1980 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Ronald worked in the Minute Man Missile Project and retired as a supervisor after 28 years of civil service.
He loved music and singing. He also enjoyed sports and was an avid Jazz fan.
Surviving are his wife Jane, children, Judi (Kelly Beachler) Morain, Cliff Morain, Annette (Oscar) Guerreiro, Lisa (Rich) Taylor, Robert (Yvonne) Morain, Stephanie (Mike) Dial, Dallas Redden, 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and brother Glen (Karen) Morain.
Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 23, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Clearfield 12 th Ward, 151 N. 1000 W., Clearfield. Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
