Ronald Keith Schofield

June 18, 1930 ~ March 7, 2016

Ronald Keith Schofield crossed into Heaven the morning of March 7, 2016 after a valiant fight with Dementia and Alzheimer’s. Ron spent the last year at Peach Tree Care Center where he met so many wonderful, loving friends.

He was born June 18, 1930 in Evanston, Wyoming to John Reid Schofield and Ella Marie Crosby.

On May 19, 1948, Ronald married Georgia Laverne “Toots” Stoddard. They were married for 68 wonderful years and have five children, 26 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Ron worked construction prior to his employment at Boeing, where he retired after a long career.

He was preceded in death by his lovely wife, brothers, Warren, Lester, Clifford, Lamar, Darrell, and two sisters, Marjorie and LaRae. Ron leaves behind one sister, Faye Schofield Bruce; his children, Ronald (Jeanette) Schofield, Layton; James (Vicki) Schofield, Las Vegas, NV; L. Kent (Lynn) Schofield, Clearfield; Connie Hawley (Charles Wewer), Roy; and Russell (Shauna) Schofield, Roy.

He will be greatly missed. (Till we meet again)

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the friends that have supported and blessed the life of Ronald and his family. The family also thanks Peach Tree Care Center for their love and kindness towards our father.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
