Ronald (Ronnie) L. Wahlstrom

January 4, 1946 ~ June 14, 2015

Ronald (Ronnie) L. Wahlstrom, 69, passed away peacefully at his home in Beaver Dam, Arizona on Sunday, June 14, 2015.

He is preceded in death by his wife, M. Dawn Wahlstrom, his mother, Nola Garder Wahlstrom, and his father, LeGrande Wahlstrom.

Surviving are three daughters, Shannon (Clyde) Daley, Sherrie (Joby) Stephens, Stacie Wahlstrom (Shannon Taylor), one son, Lee Wahlstrom (Ashley Thomas); two step-daughters, Natalie (Jeff) Austin, Jana (Mark) Navoni, two step-sons, Steve (Jeanette), and David Swapp; one sister, Renee (Randy) Gardner, and one brother, Roger (Louise) Wahlstrom. He has 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also surviving is his dog, "Skippy", whom he loved very much.

Ronnie attended Ben Lomond High School Class of 1964, then later enlisted in the United States Army in 1963. He served his country during the Vietnam War. He was very proud to call himself a Vietnam Veteran. He enjoyed sharing stories when he served in the war and always talked of friendships he established while in the Army.

After serving in the Armed Forces, he married Eileen (Warg) Wahlstrom, September 9, 1967. They later divorced. He married Dawn (Swapp) Wahlstrom on January 3, 1982.

He worked for Questar Gas for 36 years and retired in August of 1998.

Ronnie loved to play golf. Back in the day, he golfed as often as possible. He enjoyed camping with family and friends at Round Valley. He enjoyed traveling in his motor home whether it be vacationing out of state or camping within Utah. In 2002, he purchased their 2nd home in Beaver Dam, AZ.

Ronnie was an all-time Elvis Presley fan. He loved to listen to his music and had a lot of Elvis memorabilia in his home. He enjoyed family get-togethers and loved visiting with many friends.

"Dad, you will always be the Sunshine on My Shoulders"....

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. Please join the family for visitation services on Monday, June 22nd from 6-8pm and Tuesday, June 23rd from 9:30 to-10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Roy City Cemetery, where Military Honors will be accorded.
