Roosevelt Cross, 86, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015.  He was born on April 24, 1929 in Anguilla, Mississippi to George and Celeste Clarkston Cross.

He attended school in Mississippi, where he met and married Rosalee Williams.   To their union came four sons, Roosevelt, Archie, Larry, and James.  They were later divorced.

Roosevelt returned to Mississippi, where he met and married Minnie Lee Wallace.  They later moved to Ogden, Utah.  Minnie had two children, Sonny and Jessie, whom he loved dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Minnie Lee Wallace, six children, Sonny, Jessie, Archie, James, Annabell and Maxine.   He is also survived by a host of relatives.

Roosevelt was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church.  He enjoyed his family first, fishing, cooking and watching sports.

Roosevelt will be loved and missed.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  The family will meet with friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park.
