Rosa G. Ponciano (Solis)

KAYSVILLE a€" Our beloved mother has passed away on the early morning of September 9, 2007 at home.

She was born on November 6, 1944 in McAllen, TX; to Guadalupe Ponciano and Paula Navarro Ponciano.

She married Leon T. Solis Jr. (deceased) in 1964 in Layton, Utah. They raised seven kids Leon P. Solis Jr. (Kim), Renee D. Solis, Daniel M. Solis (Ginger), Tammy L. Jaramillo (Ronnie), Laura G. Erebia (Ambrose Jr.), Maria E. Bernabe (Carlos), Miguel D. Solis, 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed dancing the night away, helping out others, having coffee with her friends and spending time with her family. Rosa was motherly to everyone she met and a very giving person.

She is survived by her mother Paula Ponciano and nine brothers and sisters.

She is preceded in death by her father Guadalupe Ponciano and her ex-husband Leon T. Solis Jr.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Monday, September 17, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 So. Chapel Street, Layton.

Friends and family may call at Sunday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Prayer service at 7 p.m.

The family would like to give a special thanks to her closest friends Juana Haro, Juana Torres and Maria (Veva) Fabela for all their love and care.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to offset funeral expenses.
