Roscoe Burwell Herrington

Roscoe Burwell Herrington, 86, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015. He was born on February 23, 1929 in Cando, North Dakota to Roscoe and Irene Catherine Coster Herrington. He earned a Masters in Forestry at the University of Montana where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Roscoe lived in Montana and Cheyenne, Wyoming before settling in Ogden, Utah.
He served in the Air Force during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953.
Roscoe married Donna Mae Ring in 1951, she passed away in 1958. He married Judith Nielsen and they later divorced. He married Joyce Miller Green on January 17, 1973 in Ogden, Utah. They celebrated 42 years of marriage in January.
He worked and retired from the US Forest Service. Roscoe was an Elder in the Trinity Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed skiing, hunting, and playing golf.
Roscoe is survived by his wife, Joyce A. Herrington, Ogden; son, James Roscoe (Patti) Herrington, Livermore, CO; two stepsons, Alan F. and David (Linda) Green; six grandchildren, Matthew, Mark, Daniel, Michael, Jade, and Tara; and sister, Nancy Trucksess. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; parents and brothers, Daniel and Norman Herrington.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, 140 North Tyler, Ogden. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
