Rose (Rosie) Marie Carlson, our angel daughter returned home to her Heavenly Father and Mother on Dec 17, 2013 in Layton, Utah. She was born on May 19, 1978 in Newport News, Virginia. She was adopted by Dennis and Ilene Carlson on June 30, 1978.
Rose grew up in Plain City, Kaysville, and Layton Utah. Rose graduated from Davis High School and attended Ogden-Weber ATC. She enjoyed going on trips with her family. She was an active member of the LDS Aspen Cove Ward and held various callings. She especially loved serving in the nursery. Rose enjoyed music, reading, drawing, and attending the temple.
There are many words that would describe Rose; the one that sums up her life is "Love". Rose was given the gift of love and gave to everyone. She went out of her way to help someone in need. Rose was always Miss Sunshine and was always finding ways to brighten everyone''s day. She always made friends easily. She especially loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and was their favorite aunt.
Rose had many physical challenges throughout her life. She handled each one with courage and determination. She had an amazing attitude. There is no doubt in our minds that she knew Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father personally and had a close relationship with them. Her unending faith kept her going when everything seemed dim and hopeless.
She is survived by her parents, Dennis and Ilene Carlson, her grandmother, Elaine Christiansen, her sister Rebecca Carlson Hall (Calvin), her brother Chad Carlson, and her nephews and nieces (Jeff Carlson, Gabby Hall, Porter Hall, Katelyn Hall), and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents (Dr. Lester A Carlson, Elaine B Carlson, and Dean J Christiansen), and her Sister-In-Law, Cheryl Carlson.
