Rose T. Kawaguchi Niitsuma

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2014. She was born in Burley, Idaho to Eikichi and Ura Urata Kawaguchi on December 9, 1929.
On January 21, 1956, Rose married Henry “Hank” Niitsuma in Elko, Nevada.
She has resided in Salt Lake City, Utah where she worked at a bakery. She lived her married life in Layton, Syracuse, and Clearfield. Rose also worked for the school lunch program at several Davis County Schools until her retirement.
Rose is survived by her husband, Hank; daughters, Sharon Niitsuma and Lisa (Kent) Skidmore; her grandsons, Justin Niitsuma, Jace and Jaxton Skidmore; granddaughters, Jerika & Jentry Skidmore; and great-grandsons, Zander Wells and Kyler Niitsuma. She is also survived by her brother, Frank, Fountain Valley, California and sister, Bessie Chapman, Sunset.
She was preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers, sister, and baby son, Mark.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
