RoseMari Finter
1927 ~ 2011
RoseMari Finter, 84, graduated from this mortal existence on June 20, 2011 in Salt Lake City. She was born May 8, 1927, on Mother''s Day, the daughter of Scott Henry and Mary Cristina (Muir) Dunham.
She grew up in Berkeley, attending school and participating in the activities of Berkeley Ward. Later the family moved to Redwood City. She graduated from Brigham Young University and secured a teaching credential at the University of California, Berkeley. She taught first grade, high school business courses, junior college and university classes.
RoseMari married J. Frederic Finter in 1967 in the Oakland LDS Temple, and they lived in Arizona and California, eventually moving to Utah. In Utah she worked in education and business. After her retirement, she served missions at the LDS Family History Library and the Joseph Smith Building.
Her survivors are her sister, Carol Yvonne Gibson of Kaysville, her brother, Scott Muir Dunham of Sacramento, California and their respective families; and her step-children; Fritz and Alex Finter of Scottsdale and Mesa, Arizona and Mary Wright of Camp Verde, Arizona. Other survivors are Brendan, Aubrey, Landon and Riley Finter, and Adam, Lacey and Travis Wright and Gage, her great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 27, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main. Friends may visit family on Monday from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd, Ogden.
