CLEARFIELD – Roy Brown, 70, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at his home with his wife and youngest daughter after a 2 ½ year battle with cancer.

He leaves his wife of 20 years, Renae (Lacefield) Brown; daughters, Lori Keefer and Natalie Brown; stepdaughters, Kristi Pounds and Melody Biggs; stepsons, D. J. Johnson, Jon Johnson, and Adrian Johnson; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; sisters, Paula Harris and Brenda Knutson; brothers, Willis Killebrew and Kelly Teague; and numerous cousins and many great friends.

Roy spent his life in the auto body field as a painter.  He rebuilt and painted classic cars, hot rods, and motorcycles.  Later he worked for Civil Service at Hill Air Force Base where he painted A-10 aircraft.

His true passion in life was music.  Roy began playing drums professionally is his dad’s band when he was 13.  His love for music spanned his entire life.  He had the privilege to play with some of the greats.  He will be greatly missed in the music scene of Northern Utah.

After Roy retired in 2010, he enjoyed mentoring young musicians, working in his yard, and cooking.

Roy Brown was a great man who will be missed by many.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
