Roy George Eker

Roy Eker, 86, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013.

He was born June 21, 1927 in San Luis Obispo, California to Harry and Mary Nichols Eker.

On June 24, 1950, Roy married Beverly Jean Wade in Los Angeles; their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. After Beverly''s death in 1979, Roy married Alberta Huff in 1980.

He served in the US Navy during World War II and later became a Los Angeles police officer, serving 27 years. Roy was known for his honesty, integrity, and dedication to his family and career.

Roy is survived by his daughter, Kathleen Renee, two sons, Richard and Robert, seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Memorial Park in Westlake Village, California.
