Roy Eugene Millard

October 24, 1940 — May 24, 2023

Our loving father and Patriarch of our family, Roy Eugene Millard passed away on May 24, 2023 in his hometown of Layton Utah of 42 years. He was born in Salt Lake City Utah on October 24,1940. He was preceded in death by his parents Myrtle Callister and Eugene Charles Millard and two brothers Richard and Vance. He is survived by his sister Louise and brother Darrell, his beautiful, loving wife Rosalie of 61 years and their 8 children,  Brad, Sheri (Joel), Cindi (Stuart), Michael (Jacqueline), Kaye (Robert) Kristi (Troy) Mark (Holly), Ann (Jason) along with 27 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He and Rosalie were sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan, Utah Temple on Oct 17,1962. Their love story will live on and has inspired all of us to cherish those we love. Mom said that; “He always told me I was beautiful, then I would say, not today! His reply would always be,  “In my eyes you are always beautiful!”

He was devoted not only to his family, but to his Savior Jesus Christ. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He dedicated his life to serving the Lord with a heart filled with humility and love. He served a full-time mission in Montana West Central Mission 1960-1962 and in the Jacksonville Florida Mission with his wife Rosalie. He was an avid Genealogist, temple worker for many years and served in the church in various capacities. His loving spirit and unwavering testimony will live long in our hearts.

He proudly served our country for 7 years in the Utah National Guard. He always loved to display the American flag every chance he got. A true patriot!

He spent many years unselfishly supporting his family working for the NAC newspaper agency and the Clipper newspaper. He was a valued employee, manager and his work ethic was unparalleled.

He loved watching old westerns, spending time with his family, camping and checking off those Honey Do lists.

He will surely be missed. We love you, Dad!
