Roy Gene Weight 1927-2013

Roy Gene Weight, 85, passed away peacefully Sunday January 13, 2013 at his home surrounded by loved ones.

He was born October 8, 1927 in Springville, Utah the son of George Fredrick and Hattie Lenore Johnson Weight. Married Lola Jean Atkinson on March 10, 1953 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Roy graduated from Springville High School and served during World War II in Nari, Japan with his high school buddies. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

His greatest joys were spending time with family, sports, hunting, fishing (especially at Scoefield).

He is survived by his wife, Lola Jean, children Gary (Debbie) Weight, Chris (Sandra) Weight, Lynnette Weight, Shelley (Scott) Jewett, Rich Weight and Kevin Weight; 18 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren, and a brother Frank (Colleen) Weight.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Kimball Mill Ward, 650 S. 200 E. Bountiful. Friends may visit family Friday from 6-8 pm at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Sat. from 9:45-10:45 am at the Church prior to services. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
