Ruby G. Aragon
CLEARFIELD – Ruby G. Aragon, 84, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at her home. Ruby was born May 27, 1923 in San Jose, New Mexico, the daughter of Jose and Telesphora Gonzales. She married Ernesto Aragon on July 23, 1940 in Delta, Colorado. He died on May 22, 1975.
Ruby was a resident of Clearfield for over 50 years and she and her husband were the parents of three sons and seven daughters. Ruby retired from the Job Corp where she was a kitchen aide. She was a member of the Catholic Church and enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, gardening and WENDOVER!
Ruby was a strong sassy spirit of a woman who liked to keep people laughing with her quick wit and jokes. She enjoyed reading joke books, Mexican music, mariachi bands and had a love for animals especially Mitzy.
Survived by sons: Fred (Suzie) Aragon, Carlin, NV; David Aragon and Janice, Hayward, CA; daughters: Teresa (Billy) Pacheco, Layton, UT; Rita (John) Rasmussen, Sylmar, CA; Mary (Bobby) Quintana, Farmers Branch, TX; Sallie Aragon and Jim Lothrop, Layton, UT; Marlene Munoz, Roy, UT; Abby (Phillip) Jaramillo, Roy, UT; 25 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren..
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernesto; daughter Phyllis Sasseen; son Robert Aragon; brothers Abel Gonzales, Gilbert Gonzales, Larry Gonzales and sister Eumelia Martinez.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 13, 2007 at 9 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 S. Chapel, Layton, UT. Friends and family may call Sunday from 6 to 7 p.m., with a rosary service at 7 p.m. at Lindquist’s Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 So. State.
Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
We will miss Ruby dearly and her unique way of nicknaming all her family and friends.
