Ruby Snelson Felt
Our loving mother, Ruby Snelson Felt passed away on May 23, 2017, at home surrounded by her loving family. The things of most importance in her life were her relationship to the Savior Jesus Christ, her family, and being of service to those around her.
She was born to Thomas Lennial and Margaret Jane Snelson on January 25, 1923, in Payson, Utah. She had five siblings, Nelda, Ronald, Homer, Melba and Wilbur (Bish); all who passed on before her.
Ruby married Rodney W. Felt on August 3, 1942. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Dad passed before Mom on April 2, 2014. They have seven children, Kenneth, who passed before mom/Reta, Larry/Jackie, Judy/Gary, Merrill/Paula, Jeff/Tina, Brett and Annalisa/Kirk who blessed their life with 25 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.
Ruby, a very creative person, wrote beautiful poetry that she called her rhymes. She planned and decorated many activities for church and her family and she was a wonderful gospel teacher. Ruby served as a hostess on Temple Square for many years and loved being a missionary there. She also served a mission with Rodney to West Virginia, but the most important thing she did was to teach her family to love and serve the Lord.
We wish to thank the staff from South Davis Home Healthcare and Hospice for their good care and kindness to Ruby for the past two years. We would also like to thank the Kaysville 9th ward for their loving service over many years to Mom.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville East Stake Center, 201 S. 600 E., Kaysville, Utah.
